More news about Mayor Kautz came in. It is truly ugly. The deceitful practices and deliberate misrepresenting of facts are troubling.

I began this investigation because someone paid a fake ethics watchdog to attack and intimidate a very good elected official last year. Well time moved on and that for hire ethics watchdog no longer plagues local politics with his greedy presence. Of course the people that hired him continues to damage the city of Snellville Georgia to bring about their agenda.

They had their day. They are in my opinion the old political leaders of the past. Not elected or electable they continue to attempt to lead behind the scenes. That will be my next investigation. Who are they? What office did they hold? Who stands with them in their treachery? And what do the citizens that don’t want them deciding the direction of their city think of them trying to take the city back with lies and deceit? Make no mistake. I already know who they are and have plenty of hard proof. I just need a few more pieces of the puzzle before exposing them.

From everything I can tell these are the force behind getting Kelly Kautz into office. A younger, female version of themselves. I doubt that the majority that voted her into office knew or thought this at all. It looks as if the entire candidacy was base on deceit. Much like the court documents turned into Gwinnett county. Full of statements that at least what I see are just blatant lies. Denying owing the debt she was sued over, then agreeing to pay it. Turning in zero income statements to the court. Well, there was October where she said she made $127.58 from her law firm. Then $0 in November and $0 in December. Living in Summit Chase must have gotten pretty cheap or she somehow knows more than I do about stretching a dollar.

Misappropriation Of City Funds?

My two biggest fears going into this was that the citizens had no idea how irresponsible Mayor Kautz was with her own finances. And that giving her access to the city’s checkbook could be disastrous for the city. The second thing that concerned me was what happened in the case of Shirley Lasseter. In deep financial trouble she became vulnerable to taking bribes. Given the integrity displayed by Mayor Kautz, my concerns means a very close eye needs to be kept on city funds while she is in office. Of course the rest of the leaders can stop her…Right? Keep reading. It gets ugly.

My Fear Realized?

I think this needs to be investigated by law enforcement, here’s some information that indicates my fears about the mayor’s fiscal irresponsibility are more than justified.

Last Year

She secretly authorized payment of city attorney fees of over $30,000, in spite of the fact that most of the council members strongly objected to his charges being unjustified and excessive. In December of 2012, she paid the firm of Cruser and Mitchell approximately $1,300 for what was largely personal legal work in defense of her actions in the Marilyn Swinney case. The City of Snellville signed a contract with Cruser & Mitchell in December, 2012, but Kautz paid them for work performed in October and November. Both Kautz and the City of Snellville were defended in the Swinney case by lawyers who were hired by the city’s insurance company. There was no need for the city to pay for an additional attorney for Kautz.

While I don’t know if any of these payments were illegal in the strictest sense of the word, they do indicate that the mayor has no problem playing fast and loose with city funds.

I also just found out that Kautz has spent $2,000 of city funds to pay for her enrollment in Leadership Gwinnett, a personal enrichment course.
