Consumer Be Wary Series: Mountain Trust Mortgage & Realty Named Five Star Mortgage Professional

Each year, the independent Five Star Professional company team evaluates and awards its distinguished designation to only a handful of top real estate professionals, based on a careful vetting process that relies on nominations from consumers and real estate industry agents alike.

Less than 7% of the mortgage professionals in the San Diego area were deemed qualified to receive this year's prestigious award.

For 2012, Awards candidates were evaluated against five objective criteria, to include a high client satisfaction rating and a lack of history of of regulatory and consumer complaints.  Evaluation criteria further included satisfying all applicable state licensing requirements, being actively employed as a mortgage professional for a minimum of 3 years, and satisfying a minimum production transaction level on a one year and three year basis. More than 20,000 San Diego households that consisted of those who purchased a home over $150,000 between September 2011 to May 2012, received surveys in the mail and were asked to rate their experiences with real estate professionals who serviced them.
