Feb. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Jamie Catto, one of the founding members of dance music super-group Faithlessand the creative genius behind the Channel Four documentary series ‘1 Giant Leap’, brings his insight and expertise to Devon for a weekend workshop.

On Saturday 2nd March & Sunday 3rd March Jamie will run a creative Masterclass called 'What About You?' in Totnes, helping people to take their personal and professional projects to the next level and beyond. Jamie generously offers a delightful recipe with top tips to encourage and inspire people to emulate his own success.

Charging for his weekend courses based mainly on donations and geared towards what the individual can afford, Jamie delivers a quality, highly accessible, inclusive and intergenerational concoction of techniques and exercises in a light-hearted humorous way, sparking both professional and personal breakthroughs.

The Sunday Times writer Jinny Reddy said:

"Jamie Catto is oddly arousing and crucially, tangibly, useful. I've never taken drugs but I'd liken What About You? to a drug-fuelled high and Catto himself is disarmingly open, playful and engaging... he delivers the message with a kind of freewheeling joy, levity and empathy."

From aspiring book writers, artists, chefs, musicians, students, human resources gurus, and even the unemployed, Jamie's courses draws an arty crowd all looking for the same thing, to be able to take their creative endeavours to the next level and beyond.

‘What About You?’ is designed to facilitate bringing ideas and projects out of people’s heads and into the real world. A project building master class with discussions and games, to build confidence and make sure that everyone is creating from a 100% inspired and empowered place.

This two day workshop will take place at Chapel House Studios, Station Road, Totnes, and will be led by a man who draws from the diversity of his own experience and the highly tuned processes which he has encountered during his twenty years of ground-breaking filming, recordings, and voyages across five continents.

Jamie says:

“I love Devon, and Totnes has many friends and childhood memories for me. I’m very excited to be there again for the weekend. Of course what I’m really interested in is helping individuals transform through that journey from the shut-down part of ourselves towards the whole. This weekend is all about that, returning to the confident self."

Jamie goes on to say:

“We are all mad. Everyone turns up to work having to look cool, groomed, stable. It’s exhausting having to pretend I’m not mad every day. What we want is to oxygenate the madness.

When we dare to reveal the truth about ourselves, we unwittingly give everyone else permission to do the same, to be present and vulnerable. Unconsciously we snip ourselves down. What we want is unapologetic bigness. The less hung up we are about hiding ourselves, the more we are likely to make a masterpiece."

Stephen Fry raves about him:

“Jamie Catto is kind, wise, open, boundlessly energetic, optimistic and passionate. His musical skills whilst formidable – are trumped by his remarkable ability to light fires under otherwise reluctant people. I adore him.”

Jamie Catto co-produced and directed the double Grammy nominated film which sold over 300,000 albums, and won numerous awards globally, ‘1 Giant Leap’. '1 Giant Leap' was subsequently commissioned and made into a Channel 4 documentary series in 2008 to explore the complexities of human nature through music. It encountered high profile writers, thinkers, spiritual gurus and entertainers including Bob Geldof, Robbie Williams, Steven Fry, Susan Sarandon, Deepak Chopra, Michael Stipe, Brian Eno, and Dennis Hopper.

Jamie also runs workshops in London, Brighton, Bristol, Devon, Glasgow, Amsterdam, and France throughout the year.
