Apple Apps Development And Sells Slower To Android Apps

Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Sales of android apps are booming in fourth quarter of 2012 at Google App store. But at the same time, the sells of Apple iOS based apps are going down.

According to recent figures announced by Google, it has been concluded that app sales has doubled at Google app store in fourth quarter of the recent year. On the other hand, Apple iOS based apps for iPhones and iPads have increased only by 20 percent in the same period. It has been determined that more high-end android devices such as Samsung Galaxy SIII play an important role to driven the sells of android based apps. Google Nexus 7 has also turned increased app sells for android based device. These devices have made it comfortable to buy android apps for consumers.

Google claims that Android is now available with similar number of apps as Apple has introduced for iPhone and iPad users. Around 700,000 android apps are available at Google store in compare of 800,000 Apple apps. This is not very large gap and Google is filling this gap very fast. Android app developer community is working towards this goal.

Up to recent years, it has been assumed that android apps are lagging far behind in compare to Apple apps. But recent rise in sells at Google app store has persuaded app development companies for android app development. Some developers are seeking to develop unique apps first for android platform.

A leading developer Ngmoco previously develops apps for Apple before launching then on Google. But now, it is treating both platforms equally. Google is providing resource for app developers in easier manner to make development process easier for the developers. Recent figures have shown that around three-quarters of smart phone sold globally are android based and android app developers are getting 40 percent of their income by building android apps. It will soon come at the tip of income contribution.

Meanwhile, Microsoft claims that it will offer 150000 apps for windows based phones. But it still lacks in apps in compare of above two versions. Blackberry has also claimed to offer 70,000 apps for BlackBerry 10 based phones. But some users of these apps are complaining that these apps either not working or very basic.
