Parcel Redirect - My USA Parcel Defines What the Term "Parcel Redirect" Means

Feb. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Parcel Redirect is a term you don't hear often, but because of the words parcel and redirect, it is easy to assume that the term means to repeat the act of directing a parcel.  Naturally, directing of the parcel is relative to shipping. This assumed definition is basically correct.

Parcel redirect is basically synonymous with parcel forwarding or parcel reshipping. Parcel forwarding is a service used to ship a parcel from one location on to another. Parcel reship or parcel reshipping repeats the act of shipping by shipping it again to yet another location.

Although we know from the term that it is a parcel that is being redirected, what we don't know from the term is where the parcel is being redirected, forwarded or reshipped to.  Therefore, it is vital for the purpose of clarity to add this logistical information to the term.  For example, parcel redirect from USA to Canada or US parcel redirect to India.  

In summary, parcel redirect is a term that means to direct again the shipping of a parcel. It is synonymous with parcel forwarding, which is a service for shipping parcels from one location to that of another; and it is synonymous with parcel reship, which is a service for repeating the shipment of a parcel.  And it is important to indicate from where it is being reshipped and where it is to be received, which is done by adding the pertinent logistical information for clarifying this.
