Tomorrowish’s Social TV Platform Named Finalist For CableFAX Awards, Best TV Everywhere Technology
Tomorrowish, a Social TV company, has been selected as a finalist for the CableFAX Best of Web Awards program in the “Best TV Everywhere Technology (Vendor)” category for its work on truTV 2GO’s Social Playback feature.
truTV engaged Tomorrowish in early 2012 to develop Social Playback for truTV 2GO which captures and curates comments about a series episode from Twitter and Facebook, synchronizes them with the episode's time code, then displays the archived "live" conversation during online viewing of full episodes.
“We are thrilled and proud to be part of the truTV TV Everywhere experience. We’re excited to be recognized for the innovations in creating the first ‘Social Media DVR’ for time-shifted viewing,” said Mick Darling, CEO/Founder of Tomorrowish.
The CableFAX Best of Web Awards Luncheon will be held on March 20, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. This must-attend industry event will highlight the best and brightest execs from the world of cable, online video and technology as they help drive the digital media revolution.
