Mercury Healthcare Intl Markets Consulting Outsourcing for ACOs & PCMHs via New Company

Feb. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Mercury Healthcare International, has invested an undisclosed amount in Axiom Health Group. The company will provide consulting, population health management analytics, interpretation and reporting; outsourced patient and population care management, bundled provider payment disbursement and other health information technology optimization and third-party administration services from its headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

The non-TPA services are based on managed care and hospital-physician integration “innovations and know-how” according to the organization. Mercury’s globally integrated health delivery system® domestic medical tourism program has cut employer costs for elective surgeries by at least $15,000 per case, with similar impressive results for patients covered under commercial insurance. Since 1993, the team of founding consultants have assisted in the design, strategic planning, marketing, contracting, process improvement and operations management for more than 200 IPAs, PHOs, MSOs, and ACOs as well. The company has consulted to established healthcare organizations and startups in more than 30 states.

The new Axiom Health Group includes clinical and technical staff, including physicians, nurses, case managers, clinical and actuarial informatics experts, and administrators. Maria Todd, MHA PhD, its founder and CEO, is the author of 10 books how-to books on Managed Care Contracting, Physician Integration, Physician Employment, Medical Tourism programming.  Her latest book, titled, Physician Integration and Alignment: IPAs, PHOs, MSOs, ACOs and Beyond was released by Productivity Press in December 2012.  Her previous book on the subject, titled IPA, PHO, MSO Development Strategies, Building Successful Provider Alliances, was co-published by McGraw Hill and the HFMA in 1997.
