In fact, BrylaneHome® employs three separate tests to determine its seating’s weight capacity and ensure it is correct:

Seat Static Strength – for seating designed to support 350+ lbs., rigorous weight tests are performed to ensure these chairs can actually support two times the weight listed.

Seat and Back Durability – for this test, weight equivalent to the amount of stated support is applied to the seat and back simultaneously for 2 seconds, and repeated for thousands of cycles to ensure the seating is durable.  

Seat Impact Durability – three sets of sandbags are dropped 5 times each onto the seat from a height of 6”.  This test is repeated at different claimed weight capacities to ensure the seating can endure the impact.

For spring 2013, BrylaneHome® has also expanded its seating collection to include more luxurious bonded leather surface seating in both office chairs and living room accent seating.  In addition, to make it as simple and worry-free as possible for the customer, the company now offers “no tools assembly” office chairs.  Referred to as A.S.A.P. Assembly, this Plus Size Living furniture requires no tools for assembly – customers can simply snap together the base, seat, back and arms for a sturdy seat that is ready to use in just 3 minutes!
