QualityLogic’s James Mater Elected to GridWise Architecture CouncilMater will help to promote the Council's support for standards and interoperability in the smart grid.
GWAC, a volunteer council, was established in 2004 by the Department of Energy with support from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The GWAC comprises leaders in power, information technology, telecommunications, financial systems and other fields working together to transform the nation's energy system into a rich, collaborative network filled with decision-making information exchange and market-based opportunities. For this network to live up to its promise, all parts must interact, or interoperate, seamlessly, and QualityLogic is at the forefront of this effort. In 2012, GWAC elected Mater as one of its first two Associate Members.
