IMUA Debuts New Interactive Website
The Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) debuted its new interactive website today.  It is located at the same URL as their previous site, www.imua.org, IMUA’s new website dons an enlivening new design with updated information, as well as up to date news pertinent to its membership.  
According to Kevin O’Brien, IMUA President & CEO, the new website is the culmination of months of input gathered from its membership on the types of information required to assist in their continuing professional development.  “We are very excited about our new website and its integrated member database. It is designed with our memberships needs in mind so that they can easily register for events, access any data they require albeit white papers, industry news or education resources on demand.  As, with our previous website, we have also included and in-depth members only section which includes access to Advantage, our e-newsletter.  And, we have even added the ability to access the World Risk & Insurance television network so that visitors can keep up with all the day’s news relating to our industry.”
The IMUA website is broken out into four major sections – About IMUA, Reports and Information, Professional Development and Advocacy.  Each section has a number of sub links with detailed information pertinent to that section.  For instance under Professional Development visitors can find material on the 2013 Annual Meeting, courses and webinars offered, regional seminars and events, committee information, career in inland marine, purchases papers and webinars, as well as how to get involved with the association.
The home page also offers visitors the opportunity to access several key areas of the site including news, upcoming events, features highlights, the IMUA Media Room, membership and volunteerism.  
“We encourage all our member companies to use our new website as an ongoing tool to assist them in their day to day business, as well as they own professional development.,” said O’Brien.

IMUA is the national association for the commercial inland marine insurance industry.  IMUA serves as the voice of its member companies representing over 90 percent of all commercial inland marine insurers.  The association provides its members with comprehensive professional development programs, as well as research papers and bulletins and industry analysis.  IMUA was founded in 1930.
