The Peter Kern Band is announcing the release of their second album, “Double Crossed”

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- The Peter Kern Band was formed in 2010 and is based out of Tampa Bay, Florida.  There is no set style of music that they write.  It is a fusion of blues/rock/country/alternative delivered in a magical format that represents the musicians as eclectic and intelligent artists.    Peter had always maintained that The Beatles writing style has had a major influence in his own writing.  Audiences from all over, of all ages and genre’s loved this style of writing and this philosophy has worked extremely well for the band.  Each song has its own fingerprint.  There were never two alike, yet they intertwined like a whicker basket, perfectly placed to create that vision.  Peter writes the songs and the musicians that make up the band bring the life and spirit to the table creating the ultimate, as Peter calls it, “French Bouillabaisse” – simply delicious.

The Peter Kern Band is announcing the release of their second album, “Double Crossed” with single “She Looked Delicate as Lace” leading the way.  This song is about Peters then girlfriend and the words that came to mind the very first time he saw her.   “Unbeknownst to me at first was that she was a ‘working girl’ and the creep she worked for had a reputation that I was familiar with.  She was fragile and delicate and felt the strong need to save her”, states Peter.   This song has a great soft tempo with a soulful backbeat.  The vocals are emotional as he tells the tale of this relationship that was sometimes rough which did not work out well.  

There are a few common threads that flow through the songs on this album, one being a theme of betrayal (except for “The Singer In My Mind”).  As you listen to the songs on this album, you will experience life, both tragic and humorous but it is their lives and the stories are compelling and filled with drama, a perfect recipe for success.

The Peter Kern Band released “Upstanding Man” in 2010 which was ground breaking and a passionate project for every band member.  The end result being a truly unique, outrageous album that even to this day, people talk about.  Peter also released a solo album titled “Pompous Circumstance” which was a menagerie of songs; some demos, others polished.  Every song is great to listen to.  

The Peter Kern Band is also planning a tour but no information is available at this time.
