By: A & R Select The Peter Kern Band is announcing the release of their second album, “Double Crossed” with single “She Looked Delicate as Lace” leading the way. This song is about Peters then girlfriend and the words that came to mind the very first time he saw her. “Unbeknownst to me at first was that she was a ‘working girl’ and the creep she worked for had a reputation that I was familiar with. She was fragile and delicate and felt the strong need to save her”, states Peter. This song has a great soft tempo with a soulful backbeat. The vocals are emotional as he tells the tale of this relationship that was sometimes rough which did not work out well. There are a few common threads that flow through the songs on this album, one being a theme of betrayal (except for “The Singer In My Mind”). As you listen to the songs on this album, you will experience life, both tragic and humorous but it is their lives and the stories are compelling and filled with drama, a perfect recipe for success. The Peter Kern Band released “Upstanding Man” in 2010 which was ground breaking and a passionate project for every band member. The end result being a truly unique, outrageous album that even to this day, people talk about. Peter also released a solo album titled “Pompous Circumstance” The Peter Kern Band is also planning a tour but no information is available at this time. “Double Crossed” along with “Upstanding Man” and “Pompous Circumstance” http://www.thepeterkernband.bandcamp.com/ http://c1.promofm.com/ The Peter Kern Band is currently working with A & R Select in Sherman Oaks, Ca. for licensing, a record deal, publishing and/or placement opportunities.
