EVENT MANAGEMENT FIRM P&V ENTERPRISES USES WEBCASTING TO TAKE INDUSTRY EVENTS TO NEW LEVELS GLOBALLY Webcasting is changing the event and meeting planning industry according to Pat Ahaesy, CMF, CSEP, a partner in the corporate event planning company P&V Enterprises, New York City. P& “I started studying the potential of online webcasts about two years ago, when most were still poorly done, with bad lighting and sound and very poor production values in general,” explains Pat. “Our company began to offer webcasting about a year-and-a-half ago, once we were sure we could produce webcasts with high production standards for our clients.” Partner and Producer Vince Ahaesy said that webcasting is now a possibility for almost any event, from corporate product launches to sales meetings, and allows companies to extend their reach in a cost-effective way. P& Vince also notes that webcasting can expand meetings to include virtual attendee groups, known as Pods, for truly hybrid meetings. Webcasting also allows conferences and events to overcome the crisis when a key panelist is unable to attend, but can be “skyped” in—just the way all the media news networks do today for guests with travel crises who can’t attend. Other services include online registration, monetization and secure login, full service recording, smartphone or tablet viewing, engagement with social media while streaming and high-definition quality. Earlier this year, P&V pulled out all the stops to produce a large-scale, highly technical special event that had more than 1,000 attendees and was also webcast, for the collaboration between a Colombian producer, Rubio, and ProExport, the Republic of Columbia’s Ministry of Trade. The fashion show and textile exhibition highlighted a segment of their manufacturing industry and was held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. Maria Claudia Lacouture, President of ProExport, applauded P&V for “pulling together a very complex launch event in only four weeks.” Pat and Vince are excited that P&V’s proven webcasting expertise can take any client’s event to the next level globally in 2013.
