Comedian Amy Capiross on The Jimmy Star Show Amy Capiross, a former member of the United States Army National Guard, is now servicing her country with laughter. Striving to enlightened the world with her view on diversity being one of the most beautiful things God has put on this earth, the military police officer spent her days off as a Hooter's waitress. Laughing every time she mentions what she did on her down time, Capiross says, 'Well I'm pretty sure the army slogan was still Be All That You Can Be, when I had joined. No one said I couldn't wear camo, orange shorts, and a tank top with an owl on it within the same day! After completing almost 6 years on active duty, she found herself back in her home town located north of Pittsburgh, Pa, a small town called Lower Burrell. After a guest appearance on the popular Pittsburgh radio station, the X morning show, she met the comedian Tommy Davidson. He gave her a chance by asking her open up for him at the Pittsburgh Improv. From then on, Capiross has made comedy a huge part of her life. She now enjoys putting together her own show's, and donates some of the money made to charity. Although she dreams of being the next female star in comedy, her love for it has nothing to do with the money. She enjoys all of the thank you letters from the organizations that she's helped, and says that's what makes her 'rich'. She was recently on the Chelsea Krost show, and really enjoys guest appearing on radio shows. She's done numerous charities, with her most recent one being for Make-A-Wish. Her goals for 2013 are to perform comedy in new places, and to continue her efforts in helping her friend Matt Taylor walk again by helping him raise money for stem cell research. Her favorite food is all of them. Biggest turn-offs are guys that are constantly taking shirtless pictures of themselves. She one day hopes to meet Chelsea Handler and Katt Williams. Her favorite color is florescent pink. Her two biggest downfalls are her addiction to buying underwear and her cravings for Mocha Frappes from McDonalds. If she could have any pet in the world it would be a three way tie between a baby owl, a koala bear, or a bull dog in which she would name Botox.
