Follow on Google News | The A-Style - Season #2 Now In ProductionThe A-Style Reality Show Returns for Season #2 with new and former cast members.
The A-Style Reality Show, episode #6 marked the end of season #1 in November , 2012. Two months have passed and The A-Style is back as full production of Season #2 begins on January 15, 2013. Season #2 brings both new and previous members to the cast as well as a major overhaul of the shows production. The reigning Ms. New York - United States - 2012, Jeannette Josue, rejoins the cast. Jeannette was one of the original cast members who joined the show in March of 2012 but conflicts in scheduling with the pageant meant little time for production of The A-Style. Needless to say, her decision to focus on the pageant paid off very well. Now in her final months as the title holder, Jeannette brings a wealth of excitement to The A-Style as well as a high level of inspiration to other Asian Americans who desire to excel in non-traditional careers. Sondra Anderson also returns for Season #2. Season #1 ended with Sondra resigning as her husband, Lorenzo Anderson’s, personal manager in exchange for her agreeing to serve as the casting director for his feature film, “Made In Hana”, The film, which begins full production this Spring, features Asian American actors in all of the leading and supporting roles so expect to see a “who’s who” in New York based Asian talent as Sondra attempts to secure the cast. Lorenzo will also return as director of The A-Style. Lorenzo’ New faces to The A-Style cast include actress/model, Vanessa Bontea and actress/musician Xiren Wang. Vanessa, who was born and raised in Singapore by her single mother, is already making a name for herself by landing a leading role in the upcoming series, “Ikenhisu II”. Her unique looks, which allow her to play not only Asian characters, but Hispanic, Middle Eastern and Mixed Race roles, are opening up a wide variety of opportunities. Xiren Wang is also a name to remember as she has already began working on several great projects this year. A graduate of the New York Film Academy, and a student of the prestigious, Juilliard School of Arts, Xiren has already racked up film credits as both actress and composer. With stamps from almost 30 countries in her passport, she is content on settling her nomadic ways in the concrete jungle, NYC !!! Spoiler Alert: As production of the film, “Made In Hana” , is set to begin in March, around the time that season #2 of The A-Style begins to air, we can let you know now that Xiren Wang is currently the frontrunner for the leading role of Hana. A formal announcement will be made later this month. The decision was made by the shows Producer/Director, Lorenzo Anderson, to downscale the number of main cast members for The A-Style from eight to four. “Having a smaller cast allows us to go deeper into both the career and personal lives of the cast. Trying to follow 8 different cast members with 8 different careers and 8 very busy schedules would take away from not only the cast as a whole but also allow less time for viewers to get to know everyone. Unlike season #1, there will be a lot more interaction amongst the cast members and a lot more of the drama that up and coming entertainers have to deal with, especially Asian American female entertainers trying to make it in New York City” Other former cast members from both the pilot episode as well as season #1 may drop by so stay tuned for the much anticipated season #2 of The A-Style. It all begins in March on POYZEN TV.
