Celebrate National Soup Month at Ben’s with its “Best Soup on Long Island”

Jan. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- In honor of National Soup Month, Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers (http://www.bensdeli.net/) is reminding all its patrons of its delicious, homemade soups. During the month of January, customers can indulge in Ronnie’s Old-Fashioned Chicken Noodle, Chicken Rice, Chicken Matzoh Ball or Kreplach, Mushroom Barley, and Soup du Jour. Ben’s also announces that it was voted “Best Soup” by the readers of Long Island Press in its “Best of LI 2013” contest.

During the month of January, Ben’s is also offering “Double Points” in the dining room to Ben’s “Preferred Patrons Club” members. For every dollar spent dining at Ben’s, members will receive two points on their cards. This offer will be held at Ben’s Bayside, Carle Place, Greenvale and Woodbury locations every Monday and Tuesday during January and every Saturday and Sunday at Ben’s in Manhattanonly.

National Soup Month is a celebration of soups that has since gone worldwide. The creation of soup can be traced back to 6,000 B.C. During the times of ancient Greece, vendors sold soup as a form of “fast food,” made with peas, beans and lentils. Today, Americans consume more than 10 billion bowls of soup each year, some of it made from scratch at Ben’s.
