NuGel™ products perform optimally using new on-bead digestion for LC-MS

With greater interest in the proteomics community for better workflows and performance for LC-MS analyses, affinity separations have often been coupled to direct proteolytic digestion of the bound protein content. This is commonly called “on-bead digestion” in the literature. Biotech Support Group has extended the benefits of on-bead digestion to include its low abundance enrichment products that deplete the high abundance proteins by selective voidance – AlbuVoid™ in the case of albumin from serum/plasma, and HemoVoid™ in the case of hemoglobin from red cell lysates and whole blood. For urine proteins, the UPCK™ Urine Protein Enrichment/Concentration Kit concentrates the proteins sufficiently for on-bead digestion. Furthermore, these same on-bead digestion protocols extend to its affinity sorbents such as KinaSorb™ - for kinases, PDEnRich™ for cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases, NuGel™ Glycoprotein Enrichment PBA Kit - With Phenyl Boronic Acid Matrix for glycoproteins, and the NuGel™ covalent chemistries for immobilizing affinity ligands.
