New Fort Myers Pharmacy, "ReVive Pharmacy", Now Opened

ReVive Pharmacy officially opened its doors for business on November 27th, and on December 15th hosted a Grand Opening celebration, complete with a free bounce house for children, complimentary food and drink, and a health and safety fair.  The event featured displays and giveaways by health related businesses and organizations, free reflexology, children’s fingerprinting & ID cards by the Lee County Sheriff’s department, and participation from the San Carlos Fire Department.

Simplify your life’,” said Nicole Deforte, Pharmacist and founder of ReVive pharmacy.  “After working as a pharmacist in traditional pharmacies for over 14 years, I realized there were a lot of elements that are lacking.  People have lost the personal relationship with their pharmacist in many of the larger, chain pharmacies.  As an independent pharmacy, we are able to really get to know each customer, understand their medications, and know their individual situations.  We are the type of pharmacy where you can walk in and openly talk to the pharmacist about your concerns, your diagnosis, and ask questions about different types of medications and interactions.  At the same time, we are able to work with various insurance companies, as well as those without insurance.  It is a misconception that independent pharmacies are higher in cost.  We have a lot more flexibility than larger pharmacies, offer discounted prescription options, and are often able to fill prescriptions at lower costs than larger, traditional pharmacies.”

Free delivery - Delivery of medications to anyone within a three mile radius of its location in south Fort Myers is provided at no charge.  Those outside of the radius can also receive delivery at a very minimal cost.

“Dispill” medication dose packaging – This is a unique, portable, detachable package that groups medications by each dose, allowing people to easily remember which medications they need to take or have taken.  Each package is labeled with the patient’s name, date, and quantity to be taken.  Medications are grouped in a sealed in individual compartments that are detachable and also serve as a dispensing cups.  This system is safer than a traditional pill box, and is prepared by the pharmacist, so is ensured to be accurate.

Drug testing supplies – Whether someone is a concerned parent or an employer who needs to ensure they have a drug-free workforce, ReVive Pharmacy has drug testing supplies available.  In addition, Pharmacist Nicole Deforte is a trained drug testing consultant, and can help walk parents or employers through the process of implementing drug testing.   Drug testing kits screen for prescription drug abuse, such as Oxycodone as well as illicit drugs such as cocaine and marijuana.  In addition to traditional urine drug testing kits, there are also oral kits available that require only a simple mouth swab, allowing for a simple, dignified way of performing a drug test. These tests are highly sensitive and accurate.
