New features now available for the 6970 Enclosed Freezer/Mill®

Dec. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Backed by SPEX SamplePrep’s 40 years’ experience in cryogenic grinding, the 6970 EFM Freezer/Mill is engineered to grind the toughest and most sensitive samples.  The 6970EFM’s unique design has only one moving part, that of magnetically-driven impactor.  Plus, it provides the ability to increase throughput with two large front loading grinding chambers accommodating for a wide variety of sample capacities from 0.5-100g per grinding chamber.  With a newly redesigned body, the 6970EFM loads the vials from the front of the unit. Contact with Liquid Nitrogen is eliminated using a totally enclosed liquid nitrogen auto-fill system.  Ideal for grinding samples such as bone, teeth, plant and animal tissues, textiles, plastics, pharmaceuticals and much more.  Samples are maintained at Liquid Nitrogen temperatures, maintaining the integrity of the sample.  The 6970EFM is operated by a movable color touch screen control panel with new program functions which allow the user to save up to 10 different grinding protocols.
