Josh Gilligan releases debut CD "Flesh and Blood"

Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Josh Gilligan started on his musical journey by recording demos in his bedroom.  He went as far as releasing his music only to friends.  The encouragement and the great comments he received led to him looking at music as possibly a career choice.  

At the age of 21, Josh released his debut CD “Flesh and Blood” to great reviews.  

Off his “Flesh and Blood” CD comes his single “Let Go”.  The name refers to letting a person or relationship go when the realization that there is no future that will come from it.  They go their separate ways back into the world once again.  This song has a great pop/rock sound to it.  “I love whimsical instrumental or vocal hooks and melodies”, states Josh.    It has an up-tempo with plenty of great catchy hooks, great harmonies and that guitar seems to have its own voice.  Its topic is relatable and a catchy song overall.  It is representative of the CD giving audiences a clear vision as to the style of music and a personal view of the artist himself.

Josh Gilligan’s sound is evolving as he evolves.  His goal is to create timeless songs that audiences will always enjoy listening.  He is well on his way towards that goal.  His music is a complete joy to listen to.  His play on vocal interpretations is outstanding and contagious as is his musical arrangements – all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the experience.  Song after song, your spirits will climb higher and higher.  The listener so eagerly anticipates each song because each song brings on its own reaction.   What an adventure!

Josh Gilligan was in the Top 10 Artists worth discovering on Bandcamp –Independent Music News.  He was also featured on Earmilk.com, TheMusicNinja and Indie Shuffle.  He is looking to perform at a few festivals in 2013 and to embark on his own tour.

“I want to create music that rises above the noise.  It’s a single driven industry, but I still believe in the album.  However, if singles are the way to get to people’s ears, then I want every song I write to have a message that pushes people to action.”
