Pediatric Cancer Nonprofit & Local Business Partner To Make Holidays Brighter At Children's Hospital

Dec. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Charlotte, NC– The Isabella Santos Foundation and Flywheel Ballantyne have partnered to host Santa’s Ride for Toys, a healthy and fun way to spread the holiday spirit of giving.  Flywheel will be providing a total of two classes, one spin class and one barre class, on Saturday, December 15th at noon.  The minimum donation to participate is $25.00 or a toy of equal value and the Isabella Santos Foundation will be matching all cash donations.  Donations will be used to buy toys for Levine Children’s Hospital for the holidays.  R.S.V.P today to reserve a bike or matt, limited spots available:  Charlotte@flywheelsports.com

Erin Santos, the co-founder of the Isabella Santos Foundation and mother to Isabella, explains why this event touches close to home, “We have been one of the families spending the holidays in the hospital and had to sacrifice or postpone traditions and celebrations because an illness took precedence in our lives.  It’s extremely difficult as a parent to know your children are missing out on the life you had planned for them in your dreams.  Sometimes it’s the little things that someone gives your child that makes them forget their situation, and in turn make you forget.  If we can do that for just a small fraction of time for children and families spending time at Levine Children’s Hospital during the holidays, then we have made a difference.”
