With the introduction of SharePoint Collector, users have a portable collection tool that can be easily run from a client PC, an external drive, or a network attached storage device.  SPC does not require a software installation or need to be run from the SharePoint server to access or collect from SharePoint enterprise and cloud sites.

SharePoint Collector provides extensive reporting and verification logs that contain the hash values of all documents and list items collected. A robust and fast multi-threaded copy engine allows users to quickly collect SharePoint site data, including all document versions, linked metadata, and custom metadata fields. Exported data retains the SharePoint site folder structure.
