MouseCraft: a tile-matching puzzle game, available for free in a pre-alpha version

Dec. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- - Warsaw, Poland -- Crunching Koalas, an indie game development studio, would like to invite everyone to download and playtest their game - MouseCraft. It is available for free, in a pre-alpha version, through a crowdsourcing initiative called Beta Program.

About MouseCraft

MouseCraft is a tile-matching puzzle game where you get to help mice in their relentless quest for cheese.
Starring: mad cat scientist, blind mice, and world's most famous blocks - Tetrominos.
The game mechanics will bring back memories of classic puzzle games, and it's graphical style can be referred to as cartoon-steampunk.

The final release of the game will include :

- Two game modes (puzzle and arcade)
- 100 levels for each game mode
- A level editor, which will enable users to create their own levels
- Different kinds of Tetromino blocks (rubber, exploding, etc.)

These features will be added gradually to MouseCraft test versions, available for free, for Beta Program members.

Mousecraft Pre-Alpha and Beta Program

Early version of MouseCraft can been downloaded for free, by anyone, who registers to the Beta Program.

Beta Program is form of a crowdsourcing initiative, which enables everyone to play, test and send feedback on early versions of studio's games, for free.
Everyone who actively participates in the program will be mentioned in the final game credits and will have an impact on the look and feel of the final game. The studio is also planning on rewarding the most committed Beta Program members with full versions of their games and discount coupons.

At this moment there are over 800 registered members in the program.

About Crunching Koalas

Crunching Koalas is an independent game development studio, founded by three promising developers: Tom Tomaszewski, Łukasz Juszczyk, Kris Lesiecki and two casual game industry veterans: Konrad Olesiewicz and Maciej Biedrzycki, founders of Codeminion and creators of many games, such as Saqqarah or Phantasmat.
