Dec. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The Force Field, a web portal for IT service providers, recently conducted a survey of IT service technicians who perform contract work for national IT contractors and web-based service platforms and asked them to rate these companies from best to worst. The results were published in a 20 page report released November 22, 2012 and is now available at TheForceField.Net™.

The National Contractor and Service Platform Survey Report is believed to be the first of its kind for the IT service industry. The report includes demographic data on the techs who work for these platforms, such as the types of businesses they have, where they are located and the total amount of revenue generated from contract work. It also lists the ten best national contractors, the three best platforms, the seven worst national contractors and the five worst platforms in the industry.

The NCSP Report was released in tandem with a special episode of The Force Field Podcast. The Force Field Episode 62 features a detailed analysis of the report and comments by the host, Rick Savoia. In addition to the statistical data, the podcast also includes comments from survey respondents who contributed to the report. The comments provide greater insight into why some of these companies were ranked high or low and how techs view the IT service industry in general. The comments were not included in the 20 page report and can only be heard on the podcast.

"IT service technicians have long relied on national IT service companies for contract related work", Savoia said during the show. "The survey was intended to take the pulse of the national-platform-provider relationship and assess the state of the IT service industry."
