Solomon Consulting Group teaming with Harvesters in food drive
Overland Park based consulting firm has a goal to provide 2,500 meals to Kansas City families
"We don't have to travel across the world to fight hunger," says Grant Gordon, President of Solomon Consulting, "hunger in our community is more subtle, it's people who can't take food for lunch or able to put dinner on the table and it's often behind closed doors and not in our media's spotlight."
Solomon Consulting Group has set a goal to donate 2,500 meals before Christmas, and make a small impact in the community. They are reaching out through social media, and through email campaigns to employees and clients alike to assist in providing meals to those who need it most in Kansas City.
Harvesters’ agencies provide assistance to nearly 60,000 people every week. And fully half of those are children and the elderly.
"A contribution before December 25th means much needed help, and hope, will be available to those who need it. Please visit our virtual food drive at www. solomon.harvesters.org . Your generosity makes a difference!"
