Cornwall Boost For Alexander Paper Supplies
West Country Orders Flood Into Cheshire Company's HQ As Reputation For Quality Spreads
Soaring demand for products from the Walgherton and Crewe-based business has led to personal visits to the West Country by Alexander Paper’s MD Sandy Cowen and General Manager Dawn Abercrombie.
And Mr Cowen is convinced the healthy growth in business from Britain’s southern-most county looks set to continue.
“The education sector is crucial to our business,” explained Mr Cowen. “We have been supplying paper products and sketch books to schools across the North and further afield since we set up the business 18 years ago and the sector has been growing year on year.
“However, the interest from Cornwall began to grow rapidly when one of our former customers from Cheshire, a headmistress called Lyn McNamara, moved to the county. She continued to order her school products from us and soon began recommending us to other schools.”
Ms McNamara, who is headmistress at St Uny’s Primary School near St Ives said:”Alexander Paper Supplies offers us a completely personalised service. If you are passionate about what to do you want to ensure the materials you use are just right and you can do that with Alexander Paper. You can touch the paper, see the vivid colours and make your decision.
“Theirs is not just a sales process. They listen to what is required and find a uniquely personal solution as they did with our Learning Process Books. These are bespoke quality workbooks, complete with the school’s name and logo that contain a record of each child’s progress across all subjects.
“Obviously, when I moved to Cornwall I maintained my contact with Alexander Paper Supplies and continue to use their services.”
Another head teacher, impressed by Alexander Paper Supplies’ reputation is Mark Clutsom, headmaster of Upton Cross Primary School near Liskeard.
He said: “Alexander Paper Supplies provides the sort of personal service that the bigger companies can’t. They provide a high quality, bright and vibrant range of products and a personal service that we are thrilled with.”
Mr Cowen added:” It’s great to hear that important customers are pleased with the service we provide because we are determined to exceed their expectations. The fact that our General Manager Dawn is a former school teacher, means she has a detailed understanding of the needs of that sector and that know-how enables us to provide the best possible service.”
