Fort Lauderdale, FLA (November 12th, 2012) – To ensure that weary shoppers and retail employees have enough energy to survive the early hours and long lines on Black Friday, the 5 Tropical Smoothie Cafés in South Florida (Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Down Town, Kendal and South Kendal) will offer a FREE Cranberry Truffle Smoothie with the purchase of any wrap, salad or sandwich, all day long on Friday, November 23.  Black Friday also happens to coincide with National Cranberry Day, the inspiration for the new smoothie.

Tropical Smoothie Café’s new Cranberry Truffle Smoothie features an indulgent blend of strawberries, cranberries, yogurt and Ghirardelli® White Chocolate. Consumers who don’t make it out on Black Friday can still try the Cranberry Truffle Smoothie, which will be on the menu through January 7, 2013.

“Black Friday is the most anticipated shopping day of the year, and we wanted to provide consumers with that little extra boost to get them through the day,” said Sandra Ramirez, Owner of Davie, Tropical Smoothie Café. “When we heard that Black Friday was also National Cranberry Day, we created the ultimate homage to the cranberry -- The Cranberry Truffle Smoothie.”

December’s featured smoothies at café’s nationwide are the Peppermint Mocha Smoothie and the Winter Wonder Mint Smoothie. The Peppermint Mocha Smoothie is made with rich Ghirardelli® Peppermint Bark and Dark Chocolate, Cappuccino, Coffee and Yogurt. While the Winter Wonder Mint Smoothie is a creamy blend of Ghirardelli® Peppermint Bark and White Chocolate and Yogurt. Both holiday treats will be available through January 7, 2012.
