Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa is named ‘The Most Excellent Hotel Spa’

Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- (6th November 2012):  The new spa at Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa was named THE MOST EXCELLENT HOTEL SPA at Condé Nast Johansens 2013 UK & Ireland Awards for Excellence held this week in London.

One of the most significant destination spas to open in the South East, just one hour from London, Ockenden Manor Spa in Cuckfield, West Sussex opened at the beginning January 2012.  

Created inside the estate’s original 19th century walled garden, the striking new contemporary structure blends harmoniously with the surrounding Sussex landscape.    The tones and textures of the light-filled, peaceful interiors also help to give this inspired spa a strong sense of place, with glass walls and an inside/outside swimming pool.   The scheme includes six large rooftop spa suites, designed with large French windows to maximise the views of the South Downs.
The spa features Ila products, free from synthetic chemicals, as well as Ren and Electric Body products.  And, in keeping with the overall natural and pure feel, all the water for the swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, indoor spa bath and rain shower comes from the hotel’s own underground spring.

The Condé Nast Johansens Awards are based on responses from guest nomination forms, guest survey reports, and regional inspector reports drawn from the hotels featured in Condé Nast Johansens’ most recent guides – which describe the hotel as follows:
