Summer Solstice Publishing is open for submissions

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Solstice invites all authors to submit, including unrepresented authors and new, unpublished authors, but we ask you to review these guidelines carefully, as it helps us get through your submission quicker and more thoroughly. This is your opportunity to sell yourself and your writing to us: Make it count!

Save a tree and submit electronically. This allows your submission to be reviewed faster and be easily routed to the right decision makers.

Make sure you send a completed manuscript that has been painstakingly edited and polished.

Please include your query letter and synopsis in the e-mail body, and the entire manuscript as an attachment in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf); not .docx and not pdf.

The subject of your email should read: Genre type (choose from list below) Submission: Book Title - Author Name. This will keep it from being deleted as spam.

Please expect a 4 week turnaround on your submission. If you have not heard back from us by then, feel free to send an email requesting a status.

Simultaneous submissions. We’d prefer it if you submitted your work to only one publisher at a time; however as the review turnaround tends to lengthen, we appreciate you want to get your work out there. If you feel you must send the ms elsewhere, then kindly inform us if it is accepted.

Previously published work is accepted, but only if the author holds exclusive rights


The manuscript should be:

a good story that keeps the reader turning the pages filled with characters you care about without historical/factual/logical inaccuracies with little or no author intrusion/info dumping relatively straight forward to edit.

Manuscript Length

Currently we are only accepting manuscripts between 5,000 words and 50,000 words.

If your book is longer than that please email a querry letter and if we are interested we will ask for more information.



Desired Genres

Genre types: Romance, Mystery, Paranormal and Fantasy

All sub-genres are accepted including erotica.



We are not accepting any other genres as this time.
