Follow on Google News | Now accepting research grant applicationsThe Lupus Foundation of Minnesota is now accepting applications for 2013 clinical research projects aimed at advancing studies into the cause, treatment and a cure for lupus
For over 35 years, the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota has been serving those affected by lupus, raising awareness and funding research in an ongoing effort to improve the lives of others. Core to LFM’s mission is a commitment to supporting research into the causes and a cure for the disease. LFM has funded over 2 million dollars towards these efforts since its founding. There are no limitations on the types of grants which will be considered, but priority will be given to requests meeting the following criteria: ● Pilot projects designed to obtain sufficient data to justify a request for major grant support from a funding agency with greater resources. ● Small projects of limited scope, which would have difficulty competing for major funding from agencies with greater resources. ● New investigators in the area of systemic lupus erythematosus ● Interim support for ongoing projects during a temporary gap in research funding. A limited number of research grants are available. Awards are generally in the $20,000 to $35,000 range, but are based on availability of funds. The funding period for the current grant application is January 1-December 31, 2013. The 2013 application deadline is 8:00 a.m. Monday, November 5th. Applications are available on the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota website at: lupusmn.org. PLEASE POST AND/OR CIRCULATE THIS NOTICE. End
