Ebix Named Title Sponsor of the Third Annual John Isner Charity Event

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Chapel Hill, N.C. –- America’s No. 1 Tennis Player, John Isner, announced today that Ebix, a leading international supplier of software and e-commerce solutions to the insurance industry, will be the title sponsor of his annual charity event. The event, which will be called the “Ebix Charity Challenge hosted by John Isner,” will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Chapel Hill, N.C. and will benefit the University of North Carolina (UNC) Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center for the third consecutive year.

Isner will be joined by celebrity emcee Wayne Bryan, father and former coach of the World No. 1 Doubles Team Mike and Bob Bryan, Christina McHale, a rising American star on the WTA Tour, players from the UNC men’s and women’s tennis teams, and other players to be announced at a later date. The event will kick-off with a youth clinic featuring Isner, Bryan, and McHale followed by mixed doubles and singles matches. The event will conclude with an evening celebration at the Carolina Inn featuring an auction, live music, dinner and appearances by the players. All proceeds from the event will benefit the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is where Isner’s mother, Karen, was successfully treated during her two battles with colon cancer.

Currently ranked # 14 on the ATP Tour, Isner’s accomplishments include winning five ATP tour titles, including Newport and Winston Salem in 2011 and 2012, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2012 London Olympic Games, leading the United States to the 2012 Davis Cup semifinal, and winning the longest match in tennis history at Wimbledon in 2010. Isner has also recently broken into the ATP top 10 for the first time in his career and is the highest ranked American on the ATP Tour.
