Waterford Hotel Group Adds Regional Directors

Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- WATERFORD, CT --- Waterford Hotel Group has announced the appointments of Tina Fleming as Regional Hotel Director and Wendy Russell as Regional Director of Sales for several of Waterford’s select service hotels in the company’s growing hotel management portfolio. Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm with offices in Waterford, CT, currently professionally manages 33 properties in nine states, representing more than 4,000 hotel rooms nationwide.

In her role as Regional Hotel Director, Fleming’s duties include developing and maintaining relationships with ownership and franchise partners, budgeting, associate development, guest satisfaction scores, maintaining Waterford and brand service standards, and the overall performance of the hotels she oversees. Fleming has served in numerous capacities for Waterford Hotel Group since joining the company in 2002, and most recently served as General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell. Previously, Fleming also served as General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Norwich.

In addition to her hospitality management experience, Fleming is a graduate of Waterford Hotel Group’s Penn State Leadership Series, a management certificate program. A native of Upstate New York, she currently resides in New London, CT.  

As Regional Director of Sales, Russell will oversee and strategize sales and marketing efforts of the company’s select service hotels. Her duties include preparing and analyzing budgets, account management, and creating and implementing strategic marketing initiatives in tandem with the hotel’s Sales Directors. Russell had most recently served as Regional Task Force Sales Manager for Waterford, providing sales and marketing support for hotels in the Waterford portfolio. Her prior sales experience includes Director of Sales positions at several Connecticut hotels managed by Waterford, including the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, the Residence Inn by Marriott in Mystic and the Holiday Inn Express in Southington. Russell also previously held the position of Catering Sales Manager for the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. She currently resides in Old Lyme.
