         Come and Prove It!


DETROIT MI: R U Ready 4 BIZnesss is hosting their first annual event, R U an Innovator?, at the Charles A. Wright African American Museum on Saturday, Novemeber 3, 2012 from 12-4 p.m. The mission of the event is to empower, educate and encourage youths in the Metro-Detroit area. Youths all over the metropolitain-Detroit at risk and special needs youths will come together to prove if they are an innovator.

Youths will be competing in the following events: developing Apps, creating a product, turning their passion into profit, the CEO challenge and participating in a financial literacy simulation.

The event is coordinated and hosted by the special needs entrepreneurship students at Drew Transition Center, a Detroit Public School for special needs students 20-26.

The entrepreneurship students from Drew Transition Center are raising money for the editing cost of their  “Don’t Count Us Out”! documentary to be aired on PBS in 2013. The story of 13 special needs students who experienced entrepreneurship for the first time and how it impacted their lives.

Thanks to the financial contribution of our sponsors such as First Class Construction, All Skill, Construction,  Arete Production, Lashman Studios, Value Fresh Supermarket, Jackson Five Star, Drew Transition Center,  and East English Villiage teachers and parents youths will be able to attend this event for free.
