4 unique certification programs to be launched at 4th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress
Specialist certifications being launched at 4th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress
The Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist®, one of the four certification programs to be offered, is created for professionals focusing on practical training and education to effectively manage a wellness program. It is the result of demand from employers around the country who wanted a specialized certification program offered by a non-partisan 3rd party group. The certification is designed for anyone looking to successfully implement a wellness program or obtain a complete, comprehensive understanding of corporate wellness.
Second in the prestigious list of programs offered is The Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist® certification, a program developed by senior leaders in HR and Insurance from across the country. Educational material for this program will be prepared from leaders in healthcare reform such as Phyllis Borzi, The Department of Labor’s Assistant Secretary for Employee Benefits, The U.S. Department; Kevin McCarty, President of National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and many more.
The third program focuses on one of the very interesting issues in the corporate world- voluntary benefits for employees. Voluntary benefits is one of the fastest growing segments in the insurance industry and will continue to grow as more employers shift costs to employees and sponsor less benefits. As more employers face the challenge of economic downsizing, organizations are cutting back on employer sponsored benefits. The voluntary benefits industry is constantly evolving, as new types of voluntary benefits and innovative technologies for administration & enrollment are developed. The voluntary benefits industry today is a completely multifarious and more complex industry than ever before. The last certification program in the list is The Self Insurance Certified Specialist®. It was created for employers by employers such as Procter & Gamble and Safeway, Inc. It is a certification of expertise that will allow the user to master the self-funded insurance industry and learn how to implement a self-funded insurance program. It also allows the user to learn best practices from some of the biggest employers from around the country.
Through these certification programs, one will learn how to personalize a program to meet the specific needs of the organization and how to choose the right vendor that will provide an ROI for the specific corporate culture.
