Raleigh, NC – Ragsdale Liggett PLLC Managing Partner, David K. Liggett has been elected Director at Large of the board of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel (FORC), an association of American, Canadian and British insurance regulatory lawyers who meet stringent admission requirements of both experience and expertise.  David is one of only two lawyers in the state of North Carolina who has earned membership into the organization.  A member of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel since 2007,
Mr. Liggett currently serves as Secretary, a member of the Nominating Committee and Editor of the FORC Alert.  He is a frequent contributor of insurance and insurance regulatory law articles for its publication.  

At Ragsdale Liggett, Mr. Liggett leads the business law department where his practice is focused on corporate mergers and acquisitions and insurance regulatory law.  He was recently selected by peer review for inclusion in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in the practice area of Insurance Law.

About The Federation of Regulatory Counsel:
FORC is a professional association of insurance regulatory lawyers which was formed in 1988 for the purpose of raising the standard of excellence in the practice of regulatory law and promoting the expertise and abilities of its members to their clients, the insurance industry and other lawyers requiring their specialized skills.  Membership is open only to those lawyers who have seven years or more of insurance regulatory practice and who spend more than 50% of their time on insurance regulatory matters.  Each member must be recommended in writing by three insurance industry executives from unrelated companies who attest to the skill and competency of the proposed member, and successfully pass an admissions process.
