PRLog -- CAPITAL REGION ORTHOPAEDICS & CBS6/CW TO ACKNOWLEDGE STUDENT ATHLETES ACHIEVING THEIR “PERSONAL BEST”
Albany, NY (October 15, 2012) – Capital Region Orthopedics, CBS6 and the CW have joined together to recognize student athletes (K-12) achieving their “Personal Best.” Many times we recognize in sports those only best in ability; however this award will bring attention to those exhibiting drive, commitment and contributing their all to their sport. Each week, a nominated student athlete will be showcased for their outstanding efforts in sportsmanship, team spirit, ability, and/or passion.

It is a great opportunity for students to be applauded for their efforts, according to Dr. Daniel Phelan (Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon). “It’s extremely important to acknowledge players and individuals that give their all at every practice, game or event. Those who display integrity and sportsmanship add to the success of any sport,” said Dr. Daniel Phelan, M.D.
The rules are simple. Nominations will be accepted starting October 13, 2012 on the CBS6 website (cbs6albany.com)
and the CW website (cwalbany.com)
from coaches, parents, grandparents, & friends, etc. You must be 18 or older to nominate. Every Monday at 6:30pm on WRGB and 10pm on CW-starting October 22, a student athlete will be profiled and their picture will be featured on the Capital Region Orthopaedics, CBS6 and CWAlbany websites and social media sites.
