Coloplast Staff Praised For Outstanding Customer Service

Oct. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Staff at Peterborough-based medical devices company Coloplast (www.coloplast.com) have been praised for their “outstanding contributions” to customers and their impact on the company’s business performance.

Coloplast general manager Sue Kernahan described the commitment of the city-based employees as “exceptional” and said they should be proud of their commitment and achievements.

Apart from providing high-quality products and excellent customer care, staff have also made a substantial contribution to the group’s continued growth and increasingly healthy financial results.

“The standard of care and service we provide is excellent and that is why our customers are happy to come back to us,” said Sue. “We work in roles where the quality of our work and performance makes life easier for people. We should all be very proud of that.”

Sue told staff: “By providing great customer care and service you are making an important difference to people using these products who really need your help. Not only are you driving the economic engine of this company you are providing a lifeline to our customers and we should never overlook the importance of what we do.”

She was speaking at the end of a week of celebrations and recognition events held by Coloplast to mark National Customer Service Week.

The activities followed a London theme and took place across departments, giving staff the opportunity to demonstrate the fun side of the serious business of providing great customer service.

A quiz night, a Krypton Factor challenge, making and selling cakes for charity, nominating customer care colleagues to win shopping vouchers for delivering the perfect customer experience and a special awards lunch on the final day made it a week to remember.
The customer care department was buzzing with excitement. Team members handled more than 13,500 calls during the week and achieved a successful first-time call resolution of 99.9 per cent, a result that customer care manager Vince Quarizzo described as “really amazing”.

“Everyone is so passionate about delivering great customer care,” he said. “They’ve all shown how committed they are to delivering the perfect customer experience.”

Service champions and other award winners from the week received the red carpet treatment at a special lunchtime customer care celebration hosted by Sue and other senior managers.

Fifteen employees received achievement certificates awarded by the Institute of Customer Service (ICS). Communications awards were presented to Karen Bell, Laura Brooker, Jenny Coe, Carrie Freeman, Rachel Hollingdale, Lara Mayes, Fiona Robertson, Jayne Searby, Claire Smith, Paula Stapleton and Aleksandra Wilczynska.

Emma Branch and Kelly Wilkinson received ICS Solutions awards, Maria Brophy and Christine Duggan received their Coach awards and Wendy Lister her certificate of Assessor Membership.

Others who walked the red carpet to enthusiastic applause were the quiz winners: Matt Barber, Kerry-Ann Holmes, Emma Marriott, Steve Robinett and Claire Smith.

Claire was also one of five ‘customer service of the day’ award winners. She and June Williams, Kelly Rippon, Agne Narvilaite and Karen Broome each received £100 gift vouchers.

Sales of cakes, books and DVD and proceeds from the quiz night raised £360 for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
