Shrewsbury Volkswagen teams up with The 2012 Red Bank Crop Walk to fight hunger in Monmouth County, NJ

Tinton Falls NJ VW Dealer focuses on local hunger charities in 2012

Tinton Falls, NJ (October 15, 2012) – Shrewsbury Volkswagen in Tinton Falls, NJ is joining the Red Bank Crop Walk team on Sunday October 21st to help fight hunger in Monmouth County, NJ.

“Many Monmouth County residents don’t realize the problem of hunger here in our area." Says Jeff Anderson, General Manager of the Dealership."Shrewsbury VW has taken on these issues with other local charitable organizations, and we are proud to be a corporate sponsor for the 2012 Red Bank Crop Walk.  It’s going to be a great day.”

Red Bank Crop Walk recently delivered a food collection box in the shape of a Red VW Beetle to Shrewsbury VW, and they hope to fill it to the top before the event.  Food can be dropped off at their showroom at 702 Shrewsbury Avenue in Tinton Falls, NJ.  Shrewsbury VW will also be present at the event, giving away free promotional VW items and supporting the efforts of the 2012 Crop Walkers.

In 2011, Red Bank Cropwalkers donated 11,000 pounds of peanut butter, rice and beans.  The goal this year is 12,000 pounds, and food can also be dropped off at the Red Bank Regional High School at 1PM on the day of the event, October 21st.  Anyone can participate, and more information can be found at www.redbankcropwalk.com
