Shrewsbury Volkswagen in Tinton Falls NJ Donates Food to The Center in Asbury Park to feed local Homeless through new Facebook friends. Four Cans of food will be donated for each new Facebook friend through August 31 2012.
Aug. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Tinton Falls, NJ (August 15, 2012) – Shrewsbury Volkswagen in Tinton Falls, NJ is taking the problem of local hunger to Facebook. The VW Dealer is donating four cans of badly needed food to The Center in Asbury Park’s kitchen for every new Facebook “friend” they gain until August 31st of this year.
“We heard that The Center in Asbury Park was badly in need of items such as canned vegetables, so we decided to reach out to the local community to help” says Jeff Anderson, General Manager of Shrewsbury VW, “Our Drive Against Hunger program generates awareness for this important local charity, and puts food on the table immediately.”
The program is being promoted through the dealer’s own Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/
The Drive Against Hunger Campaign was conceived and implemented by Marketing Consultancy BCI Media Services, a New Jersey company that works with franchises around the U.S. (http://www.bcimediaservices.com).
The Center in Asbury Park, Inc., is a volunteer based New Jersey not-for-profit service organization, providing support services for people living with HIV/AIDS and their caregivers.
