| 2nd Annual Magic Competition in Logan on Monday, October 29thMagicians from throughout northern Utah and southern Idaho are invited to compete for cash prizes at USU's Taggart Student Center on Monday, October 29th.
By: The Hatch Academy of Magic and Music Logan deceptionist Richard Hatch of the Hatch Academy of Magic and Music will MC the event and perform during the judging phase. Magicians from Salt Lake City and Idaho have already announced their intentions to compete. Anyone interested in competing should call Steven Viator at 435-770-0730 or Richard Hatch at 435-932-0017 to reserve a spot in the competition. There is no charge to compete. The public is invited to view the competition and vote for their favorites. General admission tickets are just $5 and will be available at the door and may be purchased in advance at the Taggart Center box office, room 212, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by calling Steven Viator at 435-770-0730 or Richard Hatch at 435-932-0017. # # # The Cache Valley Conjurers and the USU Illusionist are magicians who meet monthly to improve their performing skills and knowledge of the craft of theatrical conjuring. Membership is open to those with a sincere desire to learn and a willingness to respect the traditions of conjuring. Close-Up magic, stage magic, parlour magic, street magic, the history of magic, card magic, coin magic and mentalism are just a few of the interests group members share. The Cache Valley Conjurers meets monthly at the Hatch Academy of Magic and Music and the USU Illusionists meet regularly on campus.
