-- Washington, DC based Benevole, Inc., a non-profit organization, will host “Be A Hero” at Heroes Place, located at 1204 Queen St. NE in Washington, on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 12 pm until 4 pm. Heroes Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to homeless veterans. “Be a Hero” will collect black, navy, and brown suits for men and women (new or gently used) as well as toiletries, hygienic items, and monetary donations. All donations will go directly to the veterans of Heroes Place to assist them as receive much needed support to gain their independence. Heroes Place also welcomes volunteers to conduct workshops, including resume writing, interviewing skills, and computer training.
