Fourth Quarter artist, LimeLyte, chosen as a finalist in auditions for "The Next" on the CW Network

The producers for the CW Network Show "The Next," the new reality show created by Queen Latifah saw something special in Orlando's own, LimeLyte. The look, the lyrics, the delivery and the Fourth Quarter beats make a strong combination.

Oct. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- LimeLyte entered a Holiday Inn on a hot Orlando day prepared to impress at his audition.  Due to confidentiality, the details of the show were pretty vague but LimeLyte's manager's knew that the show was similar to "The Voice" as far as being an elimination style talent show. The main question in the Fourth Quarter camp going in was; how would Hip-Hop be received in what seemed to be a singing style show? The crew came prepared with their own sound system ready to perform three songs. Each song featured a totally different style, typical of LimeLyte's alias, Mr. Any Lane.

The casting agent made it clear that LimeLyte would only be allowed to perform about 30 seconds of each song. So as LimeLyte was finished with his first verse, his manager went to switch to the next song when he noticed the smile on the casting director's face. He immediately knew to let the song ride. Matter of fact, LimeLyte was allowed to finish all three songs. The next week Fourth Quarter received an email from the producers of the show, subject line, "Congratulations, You Made The Final 4 in the City of Orlando."  FOURTH QUARTER TIME!!!
