RISO, Inc. to showcase new products and advanced capabilities at GRAPH EXPO 2012 – BOOTH 1653

RISO’s theme for Graph Expo is “Unique Printing, from START to FINISH.” RISO will demonstrate their unique printing capabilities with the full suite of ComColor printers, as well as the MZ1090 two-color mini press.

Oct. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- DANVERS, MA, Oct. 2, 2012 — RISO, Inc. will be showcasing the revolutionary RISO ComColor® high-speed, full-color inkjet printers, along with various new production-enhancing accessories and applications at Graph Expo 2012. This event will be held at McCormick Place South in Chicago, October 7-10.

RISO booth visitors will also be introduced to two new production-enhancing accessories, which will debut at the event.

“Graph Expo attendees will be the first to preview the RISO Native IPDS Controller. We are now capable of printing directly from AFP to bitmap using IPDS protocol. This enables AFP print data originally intended for mainframe printers to be sent directly to ComColor printers. While we have been very successful in high-volume print production environments, one limitation we have faced is the ability to natively integrate with AFP/IPDS workflow. This new controller, connected to the ComColor printer, allows us to introduce a high-speed, full-color, cut-sheet native IPDS solution. We plan to make this product available in early Spring 2013,” Suzanne Farley, manager, marketing for RISO, Inc. said.

In addition to the new RISO Native IPDS Controller, RISO will launch a new Thompson Continuous Feeder, the T-100DW. This top-load, bottom-feed system supports a wide range of stock sizes, such as 8.5” x 11” paper and 9” X 12”
envelopes.

RISO Booth 1653 will also feature a RISO Pressure Seal System. This system is comprised of Objectif Lune Software (for data-driven design), pressure seal forms (which were specially created for ComColor by NJBF) and RISO’s very own ComColor printer. This station will feature two InfoSeal off-line pressure seal units, bringing RISO’s demonstrations of their unique printing capabilities full-circle.

RISO Booth 1653 will showcase six different stations, which will include a full range of products, as well as unique applications and accessories.

􀁸 The ComColor 9050 is the world’s fastest full-color, sheet-fed inkjet printer. Engineered for commercial applications, the 9050 gives customers long-running reliability in mid- to high-volume printing environments with a realistic duty cycle of 500,000 prints per month. Two 9050’s will be shown at Graph Expo. One will be connected to the new RISO Native IPDS Controller. The other will be shown with the optional Multi-function Finisher to demonstrate various applications, including in-line booklet making.

􀁸 The 120 page per minute ComColor 7050, is a versatile solution for production and entry-level commercial environments with robust capabilities. It can add full color to everyday jobs and provide a scalable migration from basic black and white to color for any workflow. Two 7050’s will be shown at Graph Expo. One 7050 will feature the ComColor Visual Alert System, as well as the ComColor Dynamic Tray Call Functionality. This function automatically pulls and prints up to four different paper stocks on-the-fly for complex transaction, transpromotional and direct marketing applications. The second 7050 will print variable-data pressure seal documents. To demonstrate a complete solution, two InfoSeal Pressure Seal units will be featured at this station.

􀁸 The ComColor 3050 is the RISO printing solution designed specifically for smaller print environments. The 3050 prints up to legal-size documents quickly and efficiently at 90 pages per minute. This compact full-color inkjet printer is small in size, but is loaded with features and functions normally seen in much larger printers. The 3050 shown at Graph Expo will be paired with the new T-100DW Continuous Feeder to demonstrate the high-speed production of envelopes and other printed materials.

􀁸 At speeds up to 150 pages per minute, the MZ1090 is the industry champion for two-color one-pass production printing. The short paper path supports a wide range of paper stocks to deliver extremely reliable spot- color print production. The MZ1090, sometimes referred to as a two-color mini-press, boasts high-quality output and unsurpassed reliability.

Customers visiting RISO Booth 1653 can register to win an Apple iPad after watching a demonstration of the ComColor’s unique printing capabilities. One iPad will be awarded following each show day. Additionally, for a chance to win a flat screen HD TV, booth visitors must simply explain, in their own words, why they feel RISO products are unique.
