Honda is Hosting an Event Inspired by “Cash Cab” to Promote New 2013 Accord

Oct. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Honda is celebrating the release of the new 2013 Accord with its own take on the “Cash Cab” television series. The event is celebrating the complete redesign of the 2013 Accord, soon to arrive at Fisher Honda.

Beginning on Saturday, Oct. 6th in New York City's Time Square, the event will end up touring the country. The Accord Cash Car Competition will be hosted by standup comedian Ben Bailey of “Cash Cab.” Current and past Honda owners will be contacted via email to participate, as well as other Honda fans. In the spirit of the television show, contestants will be asked questions about the exciting features on the 2013 Honda Accord. Correct answers will help contestants to win cash, and all contestants will have a chance to win a new 2013 Accord.

The promotion is meant to not only get people excited about Honda's popular sedan, but also to teach them about the redesign, including the changes in its handling, features, safety, and fuel consumption, among other things.

As to why Honda chose to style the promotion after “Cash Cab,” the idea is to provide a fun and exciting way of learning about a vehicle that provides an engaging driving experience and loads of great features. Familiarity with “Cash Cab” will serve as a springboard for contestants’ experiences.

If the TV show is any indication of the “Cash Cab” format's success, the Accord Cash Car  event is sure to be plenty of fun everywhere it goes. After its debut in New York City, the Cash Car is making stops at Chicago's Navy Pier on Saturday, October 20, in Phoenix at the Arizona State Fair on Saturday, November 3, and near the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on November 10.
