Follow on Google News | City's Deputy Vice-Chancellor to Advise the Greek Government on Energy PolicyProfessor Constantine Arcoumanis is appointed Ambassador-at-Large of the Hellenic Republic responsible for Energy Policy and New Technologies.
Professor Arcoumanis commented: "I am very pleased to have been appointed Ambassador-at- Professor Arcoumanis holds many international awards for his work on energy and related technologies and in 2001 he was elected Fellow of both the Royal Academy of Engineering and the International Society of Automotive Engineers. He holds several international professorships and has previously advised the European Union on transportation policy. Professor Arcoumanis joined City University London (http://www.city.ac.uk/ Commenting on Professor Arcoumanis's appointment, City University London's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Curran said: "This is a significant honour for Dinos and for City University London. It is recognition of his international academic standing and the contribution he has made to the development of knowledge in energy and related technologies. I congratulate Dinos and also the Hellenic Republic on their visionary appointment. I know Dinos will play a key role in supporting the Greek Government in the development of its energy policy." End
