Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and yoursuresave.com Team Up to Keep Football in The Community

Sept. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service recently thanked locally based comparison service yoursuresave.com for showing their support and commitment in helping them undertake their valuable community projects.

Coaching Sessions
The MFRS prides itself in giving back to the community - they regularly get involved in projects such as the Friday Night Project, which aims to bring football coaching sessions back into those areas that would otherwise be deprived of such a facility.

The Friday Night Project, which has been up and running since July 2012, is held at Starr Fields in Toxteth, Liverpool and provides a safe facility for young people to practice football and benefit from the coaching sessions that are held there on a Friday night.

MFRS Football Team Go To Sydney
It was earlier in 2012 that yoursuresave.com entered into a partnership with the MFRS, agreeing to sponsor the future plans and activities of the MFRS football team.

The MFRS football team are planning to enter the World Firefighter's games, which are to be held in Sydney, Australia this year.  

The games, which take place on 19 - 28 October 2012 and are amongst the world's largest participation sporting events, celebrate with competitions and camaraderie, the achievements of our emergency services and volunteers who give up their valuable time in order to keep our communities safe.

The games will see entrants from around 50 countries descend on Sydney to compete in 70 events at the games, which are also open to public participation.  The Opening and Closing ceremonies take place in Darling Harbour, Sydney.
