Sept. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- UrbanScooters.com is proud to  make public the addition of Micro push scooters to the UrbanScooters.com Marketplace, a comparison shopping engine that displays push scooters from a variety of merchants from all across the internet.

The Micro push scooter brand is owned by Kick Board USA. This company has been manufacturing scooters for over 15 years.  The Company first came into being when founder Wim Ouboter, a former banker turned inventor, decided to create a new mode of mobility suited to traveling a "microdistance." He began with a standard children's scooter in mind, and he then set about making an adult version that could fold up for better portability. Eventually, Wim began created a scooter prototype and tweaked it until it was small enough to hide in his backpack.

The following are a small sample of typical Micro kick scooters now available in the UrbanScooters.com Marketplace including the Micro Extreme Push Scooter. The Micro Extreme does away with traditional quick release adjustable clamps and replaces them with a single locking fixed clamp which when locked in place the handlebar will remain locked. T-Stem features heavy duty locking clamp with 4 Bolts that securely lock the handlebar in place with a sandblasted finish to ensure optimum grip between the T-Stem and Lower Stem. The steering stem is made of aircraft grade aluminum. It also has a heavy duty long lasting rear footbrake. The Micro Maxi Kick Scooter is Swiss-designed and possesses a steer-and-lean mechanism that gives riders the feeling of surfing on the sidewalk. The Maxi Scooter was awarded the Oppenheim Portfolio Gold and Platinum Award Seals 2009 and was featured on the NBC Today Show on June 9, '09 as one of the 'Best Toys of Summer'. The Micro Mini Kick Scooter was named 'Best Pre-School Scooter' by Toy Report and 'Best Outdoor Toy' by Learning Express Stores. The mini has solid construction, and a lean-and-steer' design that allows riders to use their body weight to control the steering. This is meant to recreate a  'surfing' sensation on the sidewalk, like a skateboard.
