Sept. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- The new CompactSec NG low powered thermal imager is now available. It is based on a state-of-the-art 384 x 288 25µ or 640x480 17µ  uncooled ASi 8-14µ micro bolometer detector.

The CompactSec NG is tuned to long wave infrared, 8-14μm, with less than < 40mK, @f/1 lens, sensitivity. The unit is available with or without NUC shutter or as an open frame camera. It includes powerful proprietary algorithms that have been fully tested and proven effective in poor visibility conditions ensuring good visuals in the most testing situations. The built in anti-blooming system prevents image flare. Electronic zoom of x2, x4 and 12x continuous zoom on the 640 and x2,x4 on the 384 version enables close up images of areas of interest; user can define the ROI. A high-resolution graphics overlay enables user to add features to the screen display. Features are controlled via an on screen display. The camera offers standard video outputs and IPH264 video streaming. It is available with a range of athermalised lenses from 8.5mm to 60mm. The unit is IP66 rated and is certified  CE, FCC, RoHS, Mil-Std810F, IEC 60721-4-4, IEC 60068, IEC 602629. The 640 version runs from 12-32VDC and is PoE compliant, the 384 requires 24VDC. Both units provide 25/30fps at full D1 resolution, video output can also be H.264. Communications are via Pelco-D protocol and SDK. The 640 version also has a fire detection application which is triggered either by a flame detection or by a specific temperature being reached.
