PRLog -- Throughout the months of September and October, both Mellow Mushrooms in Chattanooga will raise a glass to breast cancer research with their “drink pink” campaign to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Guests at Mellow Mushroom Chattanooga or Mellow Mushroom Waterside can enjoy $6 “Think Pink Skinny Lemonades” with Skyy vodka, $6 Draft Beer, or any other drink for $4. Drinks will be served in a special commemorative mason jar with the M.M. logo and Pink Ribbon, which you can take home.
A portion of all proceeds go to the Race for the Cure foundation. Jason Jones, co-owner of the Mellow Mushrooms in Chattanooga, lost his mother to breast cancer when he was twelve. His wife and business partner, Samantha Jones, made a pledge years ago to raise money in honor of Jason’s mother, Jackie Knight.
“For each glass sold, $1 goes to the local Race for the Cure,” said Samantha Jones. “Jason and I always kick in another $1000 personally. My goal this year is to donate $7000.”
Over the last 10 years, Mellow Mushroom has raised and donated close to $60,000 to Breast Cancer Research in Tennessee.
