New Sherlock Holmes 10 Minute Play "Case of Revenge" Debuts at Short Play Lab in NYC

Sept. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Sherlock Holmes and A Case of Revenge - a new 10 minute play by John DeGaetano (SHERLOCK HOLMES 10 MINUTE PLAYS, available on AMAZON) - will perform its short play premiere Sept 22nd and 23rd at John Chatterton's Short Play Lab at the Roy Arias Theatre (300 West 43rd Street) in Manhattan. The play is one in a series of nine for DeGaetano's project and Case of Revenge is just part of the lab's assortment from other writers at the event. Also in the works are plans to present a full evening of DeGaetano's short Sherlock Holmes pieces for a three week run in London tentatively set for fall of 2013.

Starring a talented New York cast of four for the Sept 22nd and 23rd event is  - David Burfoot as Sherlock Holmes, Ron Barba as Doctor Watson, Leslie C Nemet as Mrs. Hudson, and Colleen McGloin as a mystery woman (we don't want to give anything away). A Case of Revenge brings to life these iconic characters in a quick turnaround on stage. The play grows in intensity as it is up to Holmes and his long-time friend Dr. Watson to quickly unravel a puzzle as to why a woman seeks revenge for a famous mans death.

John Chatterton's Short Play Lab offers playwrights and New York City audience members something you don't always get to see in live theatre. New work from up-and-coming writers in its earliest stages. Several writers will be featured at the event Saturday at 7pm and Sunday from 2pm. The great thing about the Short Play Lab is that it is a work in progress, so it's a great experience for the playwrights and audiences as these writers works are something to look for in the future.
