Sahasra Deepika Foundation Selected for Chase Community Giving Program

Sept. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Out of thousands of charities across the country, Chase employees and customers have nominated the Sahasra Deepika Foundation for Education to take part in the Chase Community Giving program.  Since 2009, Chase has been placing the power of charitable giving in the hands of their clients and Facebook ‘fans’, awarding over $20 million in grants to over 500 charities in 41 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. The 2012 Chase Community Giving program will award grants ranging from $10,000 to $250,000  to the 196 charities that receive the most votes from their supporters.

Executive Director Sarva Rajendra stated, “We are thrilled to accept this special nomination and thank Chase, their customers and employees for supporting our efforts to empower the lives of underprivileged children. We believe there is no better investment than the one made to safeguard access to education and housing for children everywhere. Since 1998, the Sahasra Deepika Foundation for Education has been providing these resources to disadvantaged children in Bangalore, India with a limited budget and the support of volunteers, partners, and individual donors. A grant from Chase Community Giving would strengthen our programs and ensure that our students have the opportunity to be the first in their families to go to college."
